Corn-Free Baking Powder
- 1/4 cup cream of tartar
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- Sift cream of tartar and baking soda through fine strainer 3 times into small bowl.
- Store in an airtight container or a wide-mouth mason jar.
- Label your container with expiration date and store at room temperature, away from sunlight, for 4-6 weeks.
In a pinch for 1 teaspoon of baking powder? Just use 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and add it into the recipe. No need to sift.
